The city of Leeds is very large and it’s
understandable why it is one of the most car dependent cities in the UK.
Leeds is linked to many other cities
making it very easy to get exploring, with the A62 taking you towards Bristall , A63 to Hull along with other roads such as, A64, A65 and A660.
Did you know that Leeds drew the first county maps of
England?
It seems that Leeds town takes great interest in the
contribution of travel and transport. Leeds is home to the first ever
commercial railway and, excluding London, Leeds railway station is the third
most demanding in the UK.
Places to visit in Leeds
Buckle your seatbelt and get shopping!
Leeds and shopping is big, its so big the overall area Leeds shops cover is
bigger than Heathrow Airport!
Drive to the Carnival this year, to your favourite Music
festivals and gigs.
Take a trip to the theatre, the cinema or even Leeds City
Museum or Art Gallery, getting together with friends is easier when you can
drive.
Driving and work
After London, Leeds is the largest
legal and financial centre in the UK so what better place to work? Being a
driver benefits you in many ways when it comes to job hunting. Think about how
much easier it would be to travel to and from work? The amount of jobs that
require the applicant to have a driver’s licence is more than you’d expect too!
Also, it looks great on your C.V, knowing that you have the determination and
motivation to get through your driving test says a lot about your personality
and it’s the type of personality employer’s usually look for.

or give us a call on 08001075724.
Once we have all the required details, we will send them
on to the most appropriate instructor and they will be in touch with you
shortly after to book you in.
Your first lesson
Our instructors do their best to
make you feel as welcome and comfortable as possible. Your first lesson as a beginner
will entail; introduction to the vehicle’s controls, stopping and starting and
a short drive. If you have any wishes to cover certain areas of driving on your
first lesson you can request this to the instructor before the lesson.
As an already experienced driver, the instructor
will test your ability on your first lesson and decide which areas need
improvement, again any wishes to cover certain areas of driving on your first
lesson can be requested to the instructor before the lesson.
Theory test
The next step, once you have started
your driving lessons, is to work towards studying the theory. Some people might
want to do this before booking any lessons, which is fine. The theory test
quizzes your knowledge of the road, it is an online test in which you are asked
50 multiple choice questions. There is also the hazard perception part of the
test where you will be shown a clips of different road situations and you must
click the screen where there is a hazard, a hazard being anything that forces
you to stop, slow down or change direction. The aim is spot the hazard as early
as possible.
Practical test
Once you’ve passed your theory test you can then book your practical driving test. You are tested on your ability to
drive safely in different road and traffic conditions, and your ability to follow
The Highway Code.
Remember, prepare yourself, use the road in accordance with The Highway Code , drive safely and responsibly in the traffic system, demonstrate developed skills, knowledge and understanding. Only take your test when you can do
everything without instruction.
