Learning to drive in Derby

Our aim as a school is to provide excellent lessons at affordable prices and to get as many drivers on the road and learning as possible. We source both female and male instructors to provide variety and choice for you. We also have all our instructors CRB checked for your piece of mind so that you can relax knowing that you are in safe hands with a reliable, friendly instructor.

 

Our instructors recognise how difficult it may be to drive into Derby City Centre for the first time at the wheel. As daunting as it may seem, your instructor is fully accustomed to the situation. Therefore, they can provide expert guidance and support to ensure that you become a better driver. Obviously, a priority of our instructors’ is customer satisfaction. Your instructor will aspire to tailor the lesson to your needs and expectations so that you can leave the lesson having learnt and experienced a great deal.

How about a day out on Alvaston Park? Driving can take you there. The list could go on and on. The point is, you can’t experience life to the full until you can drive and get to wherever you want whenever you want. At the end of the day, you don’t want to be relying on the taxi of mum and dad to ferry you about everywhere.

 

Driving lessons

Whether you are a complete beginner or at test standard, we offer lessons for you. If you have passed your test but are not as confident as you wish to be, we can even provide refresher lessons.

 

The lesson itself will be one to one so you will have the instructors full, undivided attention.  You will not have to deal with any sort of car sharing or ‘piggy backing’ leading to the focus being solely on you. Our instructors are incredibly flexible and will adjust to any of your certain needs or requirements.

 

If you book your lessons online, you can expect a phone call from an instructor within just a couple of hours. You'll then be informed as to what instructor and car you will have on your lessons. 

 

Affordable driving lessons
We strive to make our lesson prices as low and competitive as possible. But don’t be fooled; our instructors will teach to the highest standard and nothing less. So, the question is, why pay more?

 

Your lessons can be taken as 1, 1 and a half or 2-hour sessions depending on your personal preference; however, we do advise a longer lesson as this will save you money in the long run.

 

The driving test
Before you can jump into the driver’s seat for your practical test you must first pass a theory test. You can take the test at the following test centre:
